Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Purchasing Agent to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Palatine, Illinois. This role involves managing procurement activities to ensure smooth operations, including processing orders, maintaining vendor relationships, and updating procurement systems. Responsibilities: • Process and track purchase orders to ensure timely procurement. • Review requisition requests for accuracy and compliance with organizational guidelines. • Maintain and update procurement files and records for audit readiness. • Communicate effectively with suppliers and vendors to resolve issues and ensure timely delivery. • Support the purchasing department in day-to-day operations and administrative tasks. • Analyze and report on purchasing data to identify cost-saving opportunities. • Utilize Oracle Cloud for procurement processes and data management. • Collaborate with internal teams to align purchasing activities with organizational goals. • Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures in all purchasing functions. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in purchasing or procurement roles. • Proficiency in using Oracle Cloud for procurement-related tasks. • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and reporting. • Familiarity with processing purchase orders and requisitions. • Excellent communication skills for vendor and supplier interactions. • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. • Demonstrated ability to maintain organized and accurate procurement records.
