Purchase Ledger Clerk - Permanent Opportunity
Location: Oldbury
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
08:30-16:30 or 09:00-17:00 (with a 30-minute lunch break)

About the Role:
Our client is a highly respected manufacturing organisation with a strong presence in their sector. They are looking to welcome a Purchase Ledger Clerk to their supportive and dynamic finance team. In this role, you'll play a key part in the smooth running of the accounts payable function - ensuring supplier invoices are processed accurately and efficiently.
What you will be be doing:Processing a high volume of supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and correct codingMatching invoices to purchase orders and delivery notesObtaining invoice approvals in line with company policiesReconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepanciesPreparing and processing BACS and cheque payment runsMaintaining accurate records of all purchase ledger transactionsSupporting month-end close processes including accruals and reportingLiaising with suppliers and internal teams to resolve queriesEnsuring compliance with internal financial proceduresAssisting with audits and providing required documentation
What our client is looking For:Previous experience in a purchase ledger or accounts payable role (desirable)A good level of education including GCSE Maths and English (Grade B or above)Finance-related qualifications are advantageousProficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software, SAP would be very advantageousStrong numerical accuracy and data entry skillsExcellent communication skills both written and verbalThe ability to work both independently and collaborativelyA proactive and solution-focused mindset
