*Description* Pulmonary Rehab - RT Wanted at the Danbury Hospital --- PRN opportunity to join a dynamic team. We are growing with exciting future plans. Competitive pay and shift differentials. Summary: The Respiratory Therapist - Pulmonary Rehabilitation - is responsible for facilitating the training of patients with pulmonary disease inan outpatient setting. Responsibilities of the program include instructing patients with how to live with chronic disease providing education and exercise. Responsibilities: * Provides pulmonary rehab program education and exercise classes either group or 1:1 two times per week for 6 weeks * Oversees the alumni maintenance exercise program offered 3 times per week * Provides airway clearance 1:1 sessions per physician order * Performs 6 Minute Walk Tests * Fulfills all compliance and database responsibilities related to this position * Performs other duties as assigned by Department leadership Education: ASSOCIATE'S LVL DGRE Other Information: •Minimum of Associates Degree in Respiratory Care •Minimum of 3 years job related experience •Registered Respiratory Therapist •State of Ct License as Respiratory Care Practitioner •BLS for health care providers •Microsoft office skills - Word, Excel and Powerpoint Pulmonary rehabilitation experience preferred. Working Conditions: Manual: significant manual skills/motor coord & finger dexterity Occupational: Some occupational risk Physical Effort: Medium to Heavy effort.
