Pulmonary Function Tech (Per Diem)
**Employment Type:** Part time **Shift:** Day Shift **Description:** Trinity Health Of New England is looking for an experienced Pulmonary Function Technician to join our team of mission-driven healthcare innovators in our Springfield, 175 Carew Street location. You would be responsible to provides pulmonary patients with high quality care, PFT’s, six minute walk tests, and overnight oximetry. Assists with the overall functioning of the pulmonary department. **What You Will Do:** + Perform routine function tests according to protocols established by the ATS including PFTs, DLCO, FRC, (with and without bronchodilators) Methacholine Challenge tests, and oximetry both at rest and with exercise + Explain and demonstrate testing and instructs patients in testing procedures to ensure patient’s best effort. + Will provide first level trouble shooting for pulmonary function equipment and perform quality control procedures on pulmonary testing equipment to ensure proper operation and integrity of test results. + Assist in department workflows as needed **Work Hours:** Per Diem, Days **Minimum Requirements:** + Associate’s degree in Respiratory Therapy, Medical Assisting and/or certification as a pulmonary function technologist + Minimum of One (1) year respiratory therapy experience as an RRT in hospital or physician office, and/or a minimum of 6 months – 2 yrs of experience as a pulmonary function technologist.
