Your Opportunity: Taylor Corporation is looking for a Publishing/Graphics Specialist (Prepress Operator) to help support our growing business. You’ll be the crucial link between customer artwork and finished print. Your job is to make sure everything is file-ready, accurate, and optimized for production.

Your Shift:

2nd Shift; Monday - Friday, 2:00pm - 10:30pm (occasional weekend as needed)

Your Responsibilities:

Prepare and process customer-provided files for a variety of print formats (digital, large format, offset etc.)Ensure artwork is print-ready by adjusting layouts, bleeds, crops, and color separationsConvert and verify file types and color spaces as needed (spot vs. process)Preflight files to catch errors or issues before productionCollaborate with Sales and internal teams to clarify specs and resolve file-related questionsSupport and train others on the team as neededAssist with special projects and help optimize production efficiencyTake on new and special projects as we expand our capabilities as a companyUse complex problem solving to identify and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutionsBecome familiar with automation workflows to efficiently move and process job files

You Must Have:

High school diploma or GED + 3+ years of experience in prepress or print productionStrong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Acrobat, Illustrator, Photoshop)Experience preparing press-ready files for digital and large format printingDetail-oriented with excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple tasks independently and meet tight deadlinesStrong communication skills, both verbal and writtenFamiliarity with file layout, proofing, and preflight best practices

Requirements within this position:  

Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information and ideas so others will understandRegularly required to remain in a stationary positionConstantly operates machinery and handles products including print materialsFrequently required to move inside the facilityRegularly move up to 25+ pounds (lift, push, pull and/or carry)

We Would Also Prefer

Knowledge of PJM and workflow troubleshootingBasic understanding of color theory and color managementExperience with both Mac and PC platformsIntermediate skills in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
