Penguin Random House Audio is seeking a Publishing Assistant to join their dynamic, fast-paced team. Reporting to the Executive and Senior Editors, the Assistant will perform a wide variety of tasks to support the Audio Content team. While interacting with colleagues across the Audio division and through the rest of the company, this role will work on the front- end of our audio publishing program, as we continue to grow our core business.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Work with the Content team to set up title ISBNs for each new audio and large print acquisition (approx. 2000 per year.)
Enters title-specific information into PRH Audio’s FileMakerPro database for each acquisition.
Creates and circulates announcements when new titles are added into the schedule.
Liaise with Sales, Contracts and Finance teams to ensure the Audio Content team meets key deadlines.
Manages the Audio Content team calendar and provides meeting support.
Special project support (create presentation decks, assist with research projects, read submissions).
Provides contractual author copies for audio and large print.
General administrative support for the department.
Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:
Prior office experience
Interest in publishing and the audiobook business
Ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects simultaneously
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)

This is a hybrid position that will require coming into the New York city office. We will consider candidates who can work from a commutable distance to our offices at 1745 Broadway, which includes the tri-state area (NJ, CT, & PA).
