**The Job Profile**
A unique opportunity has arisen for a Publicity Manager to lead our Melbourne publicity team. Reporting to the Publicity Director, the candidate for the role will coordinate successful publicity campaigns on a range of adult books for Simon & Schuster and Affirm Press.
**The Job Role**
The role involves leading the Melbourne Publicity team and executing imaginative, effective and impactful publicity campaigns, working closely with the publishing, marketing, and sales teams to deliver fully integrated promotional plans.
**The Candidate Profile**
The successful candidate would have a proven track record of leading and delivering inventive and strategic publicity campaigns across both traditional and digital media, in addition to proven success in organising events and book tours, big and small.
The candidate will have an established network of media and event contacts and be able to hit the ground-running in a vibrant department. Whilst this role encompasses work on a wide variety of titles, we are particularly keen to welcome applications from candidates with experience in or passions for non-fiction and literary titles. The role encompasses working on titles across primarily adult books for Simon & Schuster and Affirm Press.
A prowess for leading a dynamic team with effective mentorship and guidance, multi-tasking and innovative thinking is a must, as is exemplary organisational skills and an eye for detail, the ability to handle a variety of campaigns from debuts to brand and celebrity authors, and the ability to juggle multiple campaigns at once.
