Find out today what a career with Pyramid Hotel Group at the Spartanburg Marriott can mean for you! Overview We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Maintenance Worker to join our hotel team. This position plays a key role in maintaining a clean, attractive, and welcoming environment for our guests. The ideal candidate will take pride in keeping the hotel grounds tidy in the morning and help improve the appearance of our public areas through painting and light maintenance in the afternoon. Position requires working two weekends per month. Key Responsibilities: Clean and maintain hotel exterior and grounds including sidewalks, parking areas, and garage. Collect and empty all outdoor trash cans and dispose of waste properly. Sweep, pressure wash, and remove debris from walkways and entrances. Inspect grounds for safety hazards or maintenance issues and report them promptly. Other duties and projects as designated by Chief Engineer. Paint and touch-up public areas such as hallways, meeting rooms, ballrooms, lobby, and other high-traffic zones. Prepare surfaces for painting by sanding, cleaning, and priming as necessary. Maintain painting tools and equipment. Perform minor cosmetic repairs as needed (patching holes, filling cracks, repairing wall vinyl, etc.). Other duties and projects as designated by Chief Engineer. Weekend duties will include minor guestroom maintenance, and service calls. Qualifications Qualifications: Must be available to rotate holidays and weekends. Friendly and courteous demeanor. Previous experience in maintenance and painting. Ability to work independently, follow a schedule, and meet deadlines. Good physical condition; able to lift up to 50 lbs and work on feet for extended periods. Attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean and well-kept environment. Basic knowledge of tools, painting techniques, and safety practices.
