Public Sector Account Executive - Central UK Government
Mimecast are expanding their UK Public Sector New Business Sales team and are seeking driven sales professionals with experience of creating new business opportunities in the UK Public Sector market via the Channel.
The Enterprise Public Sector role focuses on named opportunities in Central UK Government. The ideal candidate must be a self-motivated, strong team player with a proven track record of success in generating new business in Public Sector accounts.
A good understanding of the corporate technology stack as well as cloud computing will be beneficial. A strong work ethic is vital in this competitive marketplace. Successful candidates will thrive in a fast paced, agile but well-structured sales environment that is regularly reinventing itself. Account Executives will be supported by and need to work closely with, the Market Development, Partner Development, and Marketing teams as well as our partner community, to build a pipeline of new business opportunities which they can successfully transition into new customers.

What You’ll Do:
Identify sales opportunities and the strategy in assigned accountsIdentify and implement strategies to sell solutions into new accountsIdentify and implement strategies to sell solutions onto new state purchasing contracts and vehiclesAchieve monthly / quarterly / annual new business and upsell targets.Work with the Partner / Channel Development team to develop and execute against account plansDevelop and execute against sales activity plans to achieve the agreed targetsBuild and maintain relationships with new business prospectsManage Business Administration by generating the reporting of the Key Performance Indicators and general CRM housekeepingSign up to and execute against a set of end-to-end sales methodology and processMonitor and report on activities while providing relevant management informationLiaise and attend meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties, aid business, and develop organizationallyAttend trainings and develop relevant knowledge and skillsWeekly end user activitiesNumber of net new qualified opportunities added to the pipelinePipeline stats – pipeline movementsForecasting accuracyWhat You’ll Bring:
Proven IT or SAAS sales experience (ideally within Email / Messaging / Security / Storage - but not essential)Proven new business sales achievement in large accounts against targetExperience and contacts within the UKI Public Sector communityUnderstanding of Public Sector contracts, cycles and their buying processesSuccessful experience with new logo acquisition and customer management – meeting and exceeding quotas in fast-paced sales environmentExperience selling through Channel partnersDegree level education or equivalent professional experienceSolid knowledge of sales process including MEDDIC, Force Management, Challenger and Spin Sales Process#LI-HO1
