Job Summary The Public Safety Transporter maintains, safely operates a shuttle vehicle to provide timely transportation for colleagues that park at an off-campus location and need transportation to and from the hospital. Education:High School diploma or equivalent Licensure, Certification, Registration: * Valid driver’s license with Passenger Endorsement * Medical Certification Card as required by the Department of Transportation. Experience:One (1) year of relevant experience required. Experience operating public service or transportation vehicles or buses preferred. Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements * Ability to read, write, speak and understand English * Provides highly professional, customer service focused assistance to the HHC Community specifically colleagues that use the hospital transportation service. * Ability to read and understand oral and written instructions, effectively communication information. * Demonstrate a positive attitude in support of the organization’s mission, vision and values. * Focused on providing an exceptional experience to our patients, customers, staff, organizations, and internal and external partners. * Ability to analyze and solve a variety of difficult situations, problem events, emergencies. * Attention to detail and ability to handle tasks independently.
