Public Relations Specialist - 12-Month Term

The Role

We're looking for an energetic and driven communicator to join our high-impact team responsible for corporate communications across Cooke’s global operations for a 12-month term.

As a member of the global public relations division, the Public Relations Specialist will play a key role in shaping and delivering compelling internal and external communications that align with our business goals, amplify our brand, and reflect our company values. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a fast-paced, purpose-driven organization.

What you’ll do:

Write and edit compelling corporate communication collateral including web content, speeches, presentations, and editorial pieces Assist in the planning, delivery and evaluation of Cooke Inc. social media channels and campaigns Lead the content development, production, and distribution of the global employee magazine, published twice annually Maintain a library of corporate communications assets and support colleagues across departments and divisions to ensure communications with stakeholders are managed in a consistent and current mannerSupport integrated communications programs and initiatives to build a corporate profile and support strategic prioritiesProvide support in developing communication strategies and prepare materials for management and senior leadership teamWork collaboratively with associations, industry partners and members to advance strategic prioritiesManage the delivery of communications programs, including coordinating translation, arranging for content to be posted to the appropriate channelsAct as liaison between human resources, creative services, operations, legal and global public relations as needed

What you’ll bring:

Post-secondary education or university degree in communications, public relations or related field Minimum of five years of professional experience in communications, public relations, or a related fieldMember in good standing of the Canadian Public Relations Society (CPRS) or equivalent professional association is not required but would be considered an assetProven track record in leading and executing both internal and external communications initiativesStrong ability to manage multiple communications and public relations projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environmentDetail oriented and exceptionally organized individual Self-starter with ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and timelines Demonstrate creative and strategic communications planning skills Digital fluency and experience working with digital and social media platformsPossess excellent research, organizational, analytical and editing skills
