**Additional Information** **Job Number** 25146877 **Job Category** Public Relations & Communications **Location** Design Hotels Berlin office, One Marriott Drive, Berlin, Germany, Germany, 10245VIEW ON MAP (https://www.google.com/maps?q=Design%20Hotels%20Berlin%20office%2C%20One%20Marriott%20Drive%2C%20Berlin%2C%20Germany%2C%20Germany%2C%2010245) **Schedule** Full Time **Located Remotely?** N **Position Type** Management **In a nutshell** To increase brand awareness for Design Hotels™ and its clients in key media markets (with a particular focus on DACH and France) and to develop and increase revenue by effectively executing the communication strategy of Design Hotels™. **Responsibilities** **Media Relations** • Manage proactive and reactive media relations in DACH (Germany, Austria and Switzerland) and France as key media markets plus support other global markets as required • Handling of influencer and KOL relationships in these markets as required • Support the team in the management and growth of the global media contact database • Coordinate press trips and individual media visits for top-tier journalists, securing high-value media coverage for member hotels • Oversee media coverage files and follow Design Hotels™ reporting structure and procedures to ensure the results are communicated effectively. **Brand Support** • Support the team’s brand PR efforts with involvement in planning events, creating profiling opportunities, managing guest lists and supporting brand partnerships • Lead networking efforts in relevant markets to ensure that Design Hotels is front of mind within the design and hospitality space, leveraging these relationships to strengthen the brand’s position • Proactively secure feature opportunities, interviews, and thought leadership placements for the Senior Leadership Team. Additionally, draft interviews and ensuring messaging aligns with brand voice and strategic goals • Work with the Brand Communications & Content Manager to identify PR opportunities for brand driver hotels • Identifying and securing opportunities to engage key media (particularly within DACH & France) at global Design Hotels brand activations such as Cervo, and ITB and driving media coverage. **External Communications** • Management of the scheduling and circulation of press releases and Design Hotels Stories • Brief, manage, and provide direction to freelance copywriters • Manage the setup and distribution and aligning the content of the Quarterly PR Bulletin • Assist in the compilation of PR Service strategy documents **Team Management** • Oversee the management of the Global PR Coordinator, overseeing their daily tasks, setting clear goals, and ensuring their work aligns with the team’s needs and objectives • Alongside the rest of the PR Management team, lead the personal development plan for the Global PR Coordinator **Business Development and PR Services** • Identify new PR services opportunities, working with Account Managers to prepare service proposals for clients • Develop bespoke PR service proposals for member hotels, aligning tailored strategies and execution timelines with their unique needs to maximize impact and drive revenue growth • Oversee and manage the execution of individual PR services, acting as the communication channel between clients and the PR team to ensure seamless collaboration, high-quality results, and impactful outcomes • Work closely with the PR team on Launch Campaigns, actively managing packages for clients that have selected France and DACH as key markets, supporting on strategy, aligning messaging, and providing owners with regular status updates • Lead in the gathering and dissemination of data gathered from media outreach and distributions to inform future strategy and budget planning. **Event Management** • Plan, organize, and host international PR media events in key global cities ensuring alignment with brand objectives • Scout and secure event venues that reflect the brand identity and event goals. • Oversee event branding and collateral, briefing the design team on assets • Curate guestlists and manage invitations amongst key journalists and editors to maximize event impact and further strengthen media relations • Conduct post-event follow-ups, gather feedback, and analyze performance to improve future media events. **Experience & Mindset** • 4+ years’ experience in a communications-orientated role • Degree in marketing, communications or similar • Creative thinker with experience executing communications campaigns • Solution oriented, self-starter that works well in cross-functional teams • Well-organized and capable of working quickly and simultaneously handling several projects • Strong writing, editing, and proof-reading skills (especially in English and German) • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills • Good knowledge of social media platforms, including Instagram and Facebook • Ability to work with all levels of the company, including senior management • Experience with email marketing platforms • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Excel and Keynote • Language skills, German and English essential and French language skills would be an advantage • Strong knowledge and understanding of the hospitality, design and/or the travel/tourism industries **Perks & Benefits** • A great experience in the niche market of luxury boutique hotels • Hybrid mobile working options • Working in a motivated and international team from over 39 countries at the global Headquarters of Design Hotels™ • Great benefits at member hotels, brand partners and other employee discounts and special offers, including Marriott Explore rates • Career development opportunities in an international company About Design Hotels™ Design Hotels GmbH (www.designhotels.com) is a full-service hospitality consultancy, offering customized services to its member hotels.
