MITIE is seeking a dynamic Public Relations & Events Coordinator to lead communications and events at HMS Raleigh, working closely with military teams to deliver impactful messaging and memorable experiences.

  Your Role

As the PR & Events Coordinator, you will manage the Corporate Communications and Reprographics Departments, delivering both internal communications and external public relations in line with MOD regulations and the Hestia SW Contract. You'll be the key point of contact for media enquiries and play a vital role in shaping public perception of the MOD.

  Key Responsibilities Act as the single point of contact for all PR and media enquiries. Deliver consistent, high-quality communications aligned with MOD and MITIE policies. Build strong relationships with MOD press officers, regional media, and Defence Media teams. Promote HMS Raleigh and its units through traditional and digital media, including social platforms. Lead on public events and change initiatives to meet evolving business needs. Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and GDPR regulations.   What We're Looking For

We're seeking someone who is:

Confident and credible, with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Organised and proactive, able to manage multiple priorities and adapt to change. Experienced in PR/media relations, with a strong understanding of media landscapes. Comfortable in a military environment, ideally with prior MOD experience or military background. IT literate, with solid knowledge of MS Office and social media platforms. A natural leader, capable of motivating teams and driving innovation.

Desirable Qualifications & Experience:

NVQ Level 5 or equivalent. IOSH Managing Safely certification. Prior experience working within MOD or Defence settings. Why Join Us? Work in a meaningful role supporting Armed Forces personnel.
