About the Role:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented professional to join our Public Policy team in Washington, DC. This role involves supporting the Public Policy team in monitoring and analysis of legislative and regulatory developments relevant to the company and offers a unique opportunity to gain broad exposure to a wide range of issues that impact pharmaceutical coverage, access, and reimbursement. The Manager will support and conduct research; assist in drafting policy positions, comment letters, and other materials; and represent the company in industry trade and advocacy groups. The Manager will also provide project management and process optimization support to the Public Policy team. Candidates should have strong analytical, research, communication, and organizational skills, and a passion for shaping healthcare policy to improve patient access and support business objectives.

Your Contributions (include, but are not limited to):

Monitoring, summarizing, and analysis of health policy issues, including legislative and regulatory proposals impacting coverage, access, and reimbursement of pharmaceuticals across the US healthcare system and payer segments

Conduct research and quantitative/qualitative analysis on health and reimbursement policy issues to inform identification and refinement of strategic priorities, and ascertain impact on patient access and business operations

Provide project management support for Public Policy team and cross-functional working groups, including meeting summaries, deliverables tracking, and materials organization

Assist in the development of policy positions and supporting materials, such as talking points and comment letters, in response to legislative and administrative proposals

Represent the company and its interests within trade and advocacy working groups

Identify of emerging trends in the pharmaceutical industry with potential impact to company’s commercial and pipeline portfolios

Increase the effectiveness of Public Policy team via optimization of existing processes and procedures, including more efficient utilization of technological supports

Assist in the development of compelling communication materials to translate public policy developments into actionable collateral for use by company field teams

Contribute to strategic planning for and tracking performance within the Public Policy team

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years professional experience in healthcare or public policy; Master's degree and 4+ years of experience in healthcare or public policy preferred

Technical acumen: Possesses foundational understanding of state and federal health policy and pharmaceutical regulation. Eager to gain broad exposure to and grow expertise across a range of issues that impact pharmaceutical access and reimbursement

Communication: Highly skilled communicator with demonstrated ability to convey – clearly and persuasively – targeted messages to stakeholders with varied backgrounds and interests. Keen attention to detail and possesses exemplary writing and editorial skills

Agility and adaptability: Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing priorities and execute at a consistently high level in a fast-paced environment. Ability to see broader picture and long-term impact on company. Applies relevant experience to improve efficiency of team

Collaboration and culture: Possesses strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to the company’s values. Track record of working collaboratively with a range of internal and external stakeholders. Experience leading workstreams and driving consensus

Organization and prioritization: Excellent project and time management skills, with an ability to meet concurrent deadlines with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency. Highly proficient in Microsoft Office required and project management software strongly preferred (including Smartsheet, OneNote, SharePoint)

The annual base salary we reasonably expect to pay is $117,300.00-$170,050.00. Individual pay decisions depend on various factors, such as primary work location, complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus with a target of 30% of the earned base salary and eligibility to participate in our equity based long term incentive program. Benefits offered include a retirement savings plan (with company match), paid vacation, holiday and personal days, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits to include medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.
