About the job

To drive Sanofi's public affairs agenda within South Cone by building strategic stakeholder relationships, influencing healthcare policy development, and advocating for patient access to innovative treatments. This role serves as the company's voice in governmental and policy discussions, ensuring Sanofi's position as a trusted healthcare partner while supporting business growth objectives and enhancing the company's reputation in alignment with Sanofi's "Play to Win" strategy.

Main responsibilities:

Develop and execute comprehensive public affairs strategies aligned with Sanofi's corporate objectives and "Play to Win" strategyBuild and maintain strategic relationships with government officials, policymakers, and key opinion leadersMonitor and analyze policy developments that may impact Sanofi's business operationsCoordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent messaging and approach to external stakeholdersLead advocacy initiatives to shape favorable policy environments for market access and product launchesRepresent Sanofi at industry associations, forums, and public eventsCollaborate with regional and global public affairs teams to ensure alignment with broader corporate strategiesManage public affairs projects and initiativesDevelop and implement public affairs strategies to support product launches and franchise priorities within the assigned geographyDevelop and maintain strategic relationships with patient advocacy groups (PAGs) to understand patient needs and perspectivesCollaborate with franchise teams to identify policy barriers and opportunities that may impact product access and commercial successCreate stakeholder engagement plans to build awareness and support for new therapies among policymakers and key opinion leadersPartner with Market Access teams to develop integrated strategies addressing policy and reimbursement barriersCollaborate with PAGs on shared goals and initiatives that improve patient outcomes and access to treatmentsEnsure all PAG engagements follow Sanofi's compliance guidelines and transparency requirementsCoordinate cross-functional collaboration between PAGs and relevant internal teamsSupport PAGs in their advocacy efforts through appropriate educational resources and capacity building

About you

In-depth understanding of healthcare policy frameworks and decision-making processesKnowledge of pharmaceutical industry regulations and market access pathwaysUnderstanding of patient advocacy landscape and stakeholder ecosystemStrategic thinking and planning capabilitiesExcellent stakeholder management and relationship buildingProject management and organizational skillsAnalytical skills to assess policy implicationsPolitical acumen and diplomatic approachAdaptability and resilience in changing environmentsCollaborative mindset for cross-functional teamworkEthical judgment and integrityResults-oriented with ability to drive initiatives to completionCultural sensitivity and awarenessProactive problem-solving approach

Qualifications

Education level/degree/certification: University Degree in Political Science, Public Policy, Economics, or related field, preferably Master Degree in Public Policies, Pharmacoeconomics, Healthcare Policy or Business Administration.Previous Experience:   7+ years of experience in public affairs, government relations, or related field, preferably in the pharmaceutical/healthcare industryLanguage requirements: Fluency in Spanish and English
