PTO Production Planning and Constraints Analyst

In this position... 

You will assist in the delivery of Powertrain units, by providing support to fully utilize / optimize powertrain supply base and plant capacities, in an effort to drive global production planning.

This position is a range of salary grades 6, 7 and 8.

What you'll do...

Generate weekly/monthly manufacturing plans for engine and transmission plants; balancing facility and supply base capacities, while managing targeted inventory levels. Lead Sales Production and Capacity Planning System (SPCPS) process support, for managing powertrain plant capacities (both manufacturing and supply base), in support of vehicle production programs.   Implement incremental and mix shift opportunities through demand v. capacity assessments, what-if scenarios, etc., to fully utilize / optimize powertrain supply base and plant capacities. Work closely with Premium Logistics Management, Ford Purchasing, Powertrain Plant MP&L, and Supply Base personnel, to manage ongoing constraint issues.  Support meetings and work with plants, to optimize schedules based on supply availability, while enabling optimal mix requirements to minimize risk to Production Program.  Work with plants to address smoothing opportunities, down weeks/days, and stockpiling, to support customer demand. Address changes required to support near term production actions. Communicate with cross functional teams when plans are unsupportable and develop action plans to resolve. Maintain data in several sources CMMS, DPR (Daily Production Report), Excel, to support manufacturing plans and communicate company-wide the summary of production and manufacturing time.
