The Powertrain Manufacturing Engineering (PTME) and Battery Manufacturing Engineering (BME) organizations are primarily responsible for delivering facilities that produce new product programs, while also maintaining ongoing support for their processes and internal business partners. Our general responsibilities encompass ensuring that processes, facilities, equipment, and tooling for new programs adhere to established standards and requirements. This includes leading global new programs through various development phases, continuously improving manufacturing standards and quality operating systems, and mitigating failure modes through robust process development. Additionally, PTME and BME provide technical expertise to plants, support cost studies and simultaneous engineering, and assist in resolving engineering issues, implementing new technologies, and selecting suppliers. They also contribute to environmental compliance, conduct benchmarking, and support new model introductions to ensure on-time, quality launches and continuous improvement.
