The Part Time Family Therapist is responsible for the delivery and implementation of family assessments, education and coordination of family services and referral services and serves as a member of the treatment team.
Total Number of hours required: 19/week
The Schedule is Wed-Thur 4pm--10pm, Saturday 10-6 or 11-7p
What You Will Do:
+ Provide family counseling and/or family therapy with clients and their family members.
+ Complete family assessments for clients in the track in the residential program.
+ Develop family-focused treatment plans with clients.
+ Develop and facilitate parent-education groups and activities as appropriate.
+ Provide individual sessions with clients and families as indicated.
+ Facilitate appropriate Chemical Dependency Education groups for clients and families.
+ Provide referrals to needed community-based services, which will support treatment goals and prevent dropout.
+ Maintain communication and teamwork with clinical staff to integrate and enhance clinical services.
+ Document activity and outcomes using acceptable measures and tools.
+ Actively participate in all meetings (i.e., staff meetings, case conference, team meetings and individual supervision) by being prepared utilizing problem-solving skills and providing appropriate feedback to team members.
+ Provide backup coverage in the event of other clinical staff absences.
Who You Are:
+ Advanced degree: LMFT, LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, MHC LP, MSW LP, LMFT LP or higher preferred.
+ 2-3 years of experience with substance abuse disorders
+ 1-2 years of experience working with clients with co-occurring and mental health problems
+ 1-2 years of experience working in an OASAS-funded facility a plus
+ Experience working with adolescents
+ Experience working in Residential treatment
+ Commitment to providing quality services and outcome-driven performance measures.
+ Excellent organizational management skills with the ability to coach staff, manage, and develop high-performance clinicians, set and achieve program objectives.
+ Experience in family counseling and parenting
+ Strong networking and public relations skills with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders, populations, and cultures.
+ Action-oriented, adaptable, and innovative approach to program planning.
+ Ability to work effectively in collaboration with diverse groups of people
+ Experience with AVATAR electronic health records a plus.
+ Bilingual Spanish a plus
