ABOUT THE POSITONThe teaching assignment may be at the Liberal Arts campus, the Pacific Coast campus or other college teaching locations. The assignment may be day, evening, weekend, online or off campus and is subject to change as needed. Part-time faculty positions are as needed positions and do not accrue rights to tenure. Part-time faculty positions may offer flexible hours and the opportunity to assist a diverse group of adult or dual enrollment students in achieving their educational goals. Duties

• Demonstrated experience and commitment to integrating new technologies into the learning process, including but not limited to interactive technologies for on campus and on-line courses.
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Qualifications
STATE MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR THR DISCIPLINE OF INTERDISCIPLINARY-BASIC SKILLS: NONCREDIT:
Bachelor's in any social science humanities, mathematics, or natural science discipline or in liberal studies, as appropriate for the course.
EQUIVALENCY STATEMENT: LOCAL EQUIVALENCY:
Bachelor's in any discipline taught at the college or in interdisciplinary studies such as social science, liberal studies, education, counseling, business education or subjects appropriate for the course.
OR
Any Master's Degree.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
• Recent community college or lower division teaching experience
• Experience working with unprepared students
• Knowledge of or experience with innovative teaching practices, both online and in person
• Strong understanding of core financial literacy topics such as budgeting, saving, credit and debt, investing, student loans, and financial wellness.
