Job Summary
The Psychometrist 2 administers and scores psychological and neuropsychological tests. This is done under a psychologist's direction and follows established policies and procedures.
Essential Functions of the Role
Administers and scores personal neuropsychological tests following standardized procedures. These tests measure clinical factors like cognitive functioning, organic involvement, personality, and psychopathology. They also aid in differential diagnosis.Record behavioral observations during the test session. Establish and maintain rapport. Elicit optimum performance and minimize factors affecting test validity.Documents test scores and keeps accurate records in the departmental database. Ensures confidentiality of test results and recommendations. Maintains security of testing materials.Coordinates scheduling and communicates testing procedures and priorities to patients and other hospital personnel, as requested.Provides clinical documentation of patient information.Key Success Factors
Master's degree in psychology or a related field preferred.Experience working with neuropsychological and psychological tests preferred.Knowledge of assessment methods and knowledge of psychometric statistics.Requires a high level of professionalism and proven interest in testing.Requires attention to detail.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Proficient in the use of computers and basic software applications, including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Access.Social skills to effectively work with a wide range of people and constituencies in a diverse community.Ability to maintain confidentiality of records and information.Belonging Statement
