No County Onondaga Street Address Hutchings Psychiatric Center 620 Madison Street City Syracuse State NY Zip Code 13210 Duties Description The Psychiatrist 2 at Hutchings Psychiatric Center will:• Train and supervise residents in safe and appropriate administration of psychiatric care• Provide primary psychiatric care to patients• Respond to urgent or emergency clinical issues• Collaborate with other health care professionals to achieve treatment goals and ensure continuity and quality of care• Assess and refer individuals for admission, transfer, discharge, and further treatment• Review and maintain medical records and documentation consistent with facility, agency, State, and federal guidelines• Serve as member of a multidisciplinary treatment team Minimum Qualifications Candidates from outside or within State Service can be considered for hire under the Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement – Statewide (HELPS) program if they have a license and current registration to practice medicine in New York State and have certification in psychiatry approved by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN).ORCandidates from within State Service can be considered for a competitive class appointment if they have one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.
