Position Summary:
Sign-On Bonus: $2,500 for new per diem RN's.
As a per diem Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing both direct and indirect nursing care, including patient care, health maintenance, teaching, counseling, and planning to ensure optimal patient functioning and comfort. Your role will involve delivering superior clinical skills and conducting comprehensive assessments to create advanced care plans for patients, families, and care teams.
Excellence in this role requires a deep understanding of both immediate and long-term needs within the Behavioral Health Unit and Clinical Services (BHUCS). You will need to demonstrate initiative, critical thinking, leadership, and effective collaboration with the multidisciplinary clinical team, including those at the Satellite Emergency Facility (SEF), other NeighborHealth departments, and NSMH.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Provide comprehensive nursing care and develop advanced care plans based on thorough assessments.
+ Show initiative and problem-solving skills to address immediate and long-term needs.
+ Exhibit leadership qualities and engage effectively with the multidisciplinary team.
+ Collaborate with BHUCS, SEF, NeighborHealth departments, and affiliated sites to enhance patient care.
Education:
+ Graduation from an accredited nursing program required.
+ Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Experience:
+ Minimum of one year of relevant nursing experience in community health, behavioral health, emergency, ambulatory care, or psychiatric settings.
Skills & Abilities:
+ Current Massachusetts RN licensure required.
+ ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required; CPR certification required.
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills.
+ Bilingual abilities preferred.
+ Psychiatric Mental Health Board Certification preferred.
Starting at $44.00 up to $64.00 based on experience.
