Job Summary
Responsible for providing administrative support through coordinating scheduling, managing patient records, handling communications, and ensuring the efficient operation of administrative tasks related to psychiatric care. Does this position require Patient Care? NoEssential Functions
Provide comprehensive administrative support to psychiatric and behavioral health providers, including psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, and nurses. Manage calendars, schedule patient appointments, coordinate meetings, and handle cancellations or rescheduling as needed.
-Prepare and organize documentation, forms, and correspondence for patient care and departmental needs.
-Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, families, and external providers regarding psychiatric services, appointments, and care coordination. Ensure effective communication between patients, providers, and other departments, including referrals, follow-ups, and information sharing.
-Address patient inquiries, concerns, and requests in a timely and compassionate manner.
-Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including intake forms, medical histories, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries. Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other privacy regulations regarding the handling and storage of patient information.
-Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and standards, including Joint Commission requirements, state and federal laws, and organizational policies. <br>
-Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure timely and efficient patient flow, minimize wait times, and support overall clinic operations. Help manage crisis situations by communicating effectively with clinical staff, patients, and families. <br>

Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent required and Associate's Degree Business Administration preferred or Associate's Degree Related Field of Study preferred

Experience
Experience in an administrative role, preferably in a psychiatric, behavioral health, or healthcare setting 2-3 years required
