Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Magnetic Staff Engineer located in Taiwan Taipei Wugu Site.

What a typical day looks like:

Join the hardware architecture and product integration concept definitionDevelop magnetic component specification, design and simulationWork with suppliers to achieve trade-off between cost, performance and sizeSupport component debug, validation, till to productionRelease design and test documentsNew tech study and sharing, technical documents writingDevelop patents/trade secrets to protect company’s intellectual property

1)Design Main trf and PFC& inductor at high frequency2)Simulate the combined main trf and PFC& inductor3)Master Mn-Zn/Ni-Zn/Powder material characteristics4)Master raw-material characteristics5)Make the new samples with new machine and new process level 6)Manage the raw material & MP parts suppliers7)Monitor the quality level of magnetic suppliers8)Audit all the whole MP process level of magnetic suppliers

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

Bachelor or above degree, major in Electronic Engineering or mechatronics.At least 6-8 years of experience in magnetic component design is required, such as power transformers, buck boost inductors, EMI choke, etc…Understand the technical specification of iron core materials grade level, as well as their suitability for various design applicationsFamiliar with magnetic component design calculations and simulation operationFamiliar with the production process and corresponding working hours of manufacturerUnderstand the safety regulations for magnetic componentExperience in magnetic component simulation tool, such as Maxwell etc.Good command of read & write English, oral English will be a plus.
