In addition, provide clerical enforcement of common carriers of transporting household goods, waste, passengers, and non-consensual towing companies. Minimum Qualifications Three years of experience in the application and/or enforcement of State rules regulating motor carriers or public utilities or in law enforcement; OR Six years of full-time work experience in any field; OR A bachelor’s degree. EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION: Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field. Job Duties and Other Information Job Duties: As aPSC Enforcement Agent 1, you will: + Answers the multi-line phone for the Transportation Division to assist the general public and those common carriers seeking to engage in intrastate for-hire transportation + Provide general administrative support for the Transportation Division + Maintain a database of motor carriers’ contact and business information as well as motor carriers’ registrations, annual filings, and fees paid as required by LPSC rules and regulations + Prepare, issue, and serve citations resulting from LPSC investigations, consumer complaints, and/or non-compliance of filings at the direction of the Transportation Administrator + As part of citations testify in transportation hearings in support of allegations of non-compliance issues against common carriers Position-Specific Details: Appointment Type: Probational and Promotional Career Progression: This position participates in a Career Progression Group (CPG) and may be filled as a PSC Enforcement Agent 1, 2, or 3.
