Title: PS Quality Engineer II Location: Maryland Grade: 10 Position overview: The PS Quality Engineer will support creating test plans and test cases for manual and automated testing. This individual will be responsible for establishing test automation in test labs and at the client environment, including development and conducting automated testing and standard operating procedures. The ideal candidate will be able to apply expertise with user interface testing, workflow testing, integration testing, regression testing, and functional testing. Key functions include: + Create, execute, and maintain manual and automated test scripts. + Create defect reports and follow through to resolution. + Timely identification of severity of system issues and effectively communicates adequate priority level and impact to appropriate parties. + Ensure software and hardware solutions meet customer requirements for usability and functionality. + Manage QE tasks from QE handoff through testing and deployment to production. + Define and implement test metrics to determine coverage and effectiveness. + Diagnose and document advanced application issues received from customer. + Apply industry best practices of standard testing methodologies and shares them with the team. + Demonstrated testing skills utilizing a wide range of tools, techniques, and standards. + Knowledge of operating systems, system architecture, databases, and file systems. + Ability to set goals and achieve scheduled deadlines. + Ability to troubleshoot and isolate issues. + Travel may be required to provide professional services and support customer activities Basic Qualifications: + Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences or equivalent years of experience + Must be a US Citizen + 3+ years of IT experience with at least 2 years of experience in test automation, QE methodologies and software testing + Must be experience with JIRA + 2+ years of experience with programming using VB scripting or any other programming languages + 2+ years of experience with using HP test automation tool/Selenium + Understanding Client/Server Application as well as Web Application testing + Experience with writing test automation strategy and test plans + Experience developing test automation frameworks + Experience in software testing principles and techniques, verification and validation techniques, test automation, and defect management + Ability to coordinate testing meetings with various stakeholders to solve various business problems Preferred Qualifications: + Experience testing large retail solutions is a plus + Having a Public Trust background investigation is a plus + Knowledge of Retail domain is a plus All applicants m ust be eligible to work in the US/US citizens.
