RESPONSIBILITIES:
· The employee in this role will be responsible for the management, maintenance and support of various software and office systems applications, primary eSchool Data and related software.
· Act as a liaison with District administrators to interface between implementation and support of office software applications and student management system
· Schedule and conduct related software trainings for District faculty and staff
· Maintain knowledge/awareness of State data reporting information and impacts on data collection/accuracy as it pertains to student management system or third party software; attending relevant meetings or training when necessary
· Review and evaluate new products, features, processes and best practices for office systems, student management system and related software, in addition to developing related processes and documentation in above mentioned areas
· Preparation of documentation, reports and recommendations for the operation and effectiveness of equipment, staff and office procedures
· May exercise supervisory role over department Office Application Specialists with regards to projects, tasks, data management and support or related office software and related duties.
· Troubleshoot/resolve various issues within various applications, including but not limited to the student management software.
· Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director of Technology.

+ HOURS: 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Must meet Civil Service Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
OPEN COMPETITIVE
(a) Graduation from a college with federally-authorized accreditation or registration by NY State with an Associate's Degree in a field related to office information systems and technologies, and four (4) years of experience in the utilization of software to create or design specialized forms, reports or models , two (2) years of which must be in a supervisory capacity; or,
(b) Graduation from a standard senior high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma, and six (6) years of experience in the utilization of software to create or design specialized forms, reports or models, two (2) years of which must be in a supervisory capacity; or,
(c) An equivalent combination of education and experience as defined by the limits of (a) and (b).
PROMOTIONAL
Three (3) years of permanent competitive status as an Office Applications Specialist.
