As a Prototypes Buyer Ford Champ, you will be responsible for learning and applying negotiation strategies. Your role will involve collaborating with experienced buyers, engineers and stakeholders.
What you´ll need:
Active student from any of the last 4 semesters of of Business Administration or Automotive or a closely related discipline.90% English skills (Oral, reading, writing, and listening)Strong analytical and communication skills Strong analytical skills for evaluating quotes and supplier information.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with suppliers and internal teams.Good organizational skills and attention to detail.Proficiency in using standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel).Familiarity with procurement software or ERP systems.Knowledge of different materials, components, or manufacturing processes relevant to prototyping.What you´ll do:
Support experienced buyers in the end-to-end procurement process for prototype materials and tooling. Assist in the preparation and distribution of Requests for Quotation (RFQs) to potential suppliers. Help analyze vendor proposals and quotes, comparing costs, lead times, and terms under guidance. Support communication with suppliers regarding quotes, order status, and delivery schedules. Assist in placing and tracking Purchase Orders for prototype requirements. Learn and apply basic negotiation principles and tactics under supervision. Support the maintenance of supplier information, documentation, and procurement records. Collaborate with engineering to understand prototype needs and specifications.
