Job Overview

We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Prototype Technical Associate to support our manufacturing operations. In this role, you will be responsible for performing skilled fabrication, equipment maintenance, and support tasks using a variety of tools, machinery, and technical processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to interpret technical drawings, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

Perform skilled activities to support manufacturing and prototyping needs.

Operate fabrication equipment such as shears, drill presses, hydraulic presses, press brakes, and band saws.

Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.

Conduct preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on production machinery.

Participate in troubleshooting and continuous improvement initiatives.

Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Follow safety standards and use proper personal protective equipment.

Conduct quality inspections to ensure high standards of workmanship.

Collaborate with team members to identify process improvements and reduce production constraints.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Some welding or machining experience or training preferred.

Mechanical aptitude and experience working with hand and power tools.

Ability to interpret blueprints and technical documentation.

Proficient computer skills.

Reliable with strong multitasking and time management skills.

Good attendance and a proactive approach to promoting a safe work environment.

Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
