Prototype Driver & Administrative Assistant, Vehicle Test

We are currently seeking a Prototype Driver / Administrative Assistant to support Vehicle Test Operations. This hybrid role reports to the Sr. Manager, Vehicle Test Operations and combines administrative excellence with hands-on vehicle testing expertise. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, detail-oriented team player with strong communication skills and a passion for automotive innovation. This position requires collaboration across multiple sites including Arizona, Newark, CA, and New Liberty, OH, and may involve domestic and international travel.

Key Responsibilities: Administrative Duties Coordinate internal/external meetings, prepare agendas, take minutes, and track follow-up items. Manage scheduling conflicts and ensure timely completion of tasks. Liaise with cross-functional teams across US, EU, and KSA for seamless meeting execution. Handle document processing, procurement, and maintenance of office supplies and equipment. Support office environment upkeep and logistics. Assist with planning department events, lunch meetings, and off-site activities. Prepare presentations and reports with high attention to detail. Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally. Other duties as assigned by management. Prototype Driving & Vehicle Testing Drive and evaluate prototype vehicles in real-world and controlled test scenarios. Conduct safety inspections and specialized test procedures; document findings clearly. Perform daily vehicle checks and ensure readiness for testing. Collect and verify manual data, including mapping and final validation drives. Provide detailed feedback to engineering teams to support vehicle development. Operate vehicles on public and private roads, including stress-testing scenarios. Adapt to dynamic routines and shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment. Support international testing efforts as needed. Qualifications: 2+ years of administrative experience. Previous professional driving or vehicle testing experience. Valid US driver’s license with 7+ years of driving experience and clean record. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; SAP experience is a plus. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime. Comfortable driving for extended periods and in various weather conditions. Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle unexpected demands professionally. Willingness to become certified in Proving Ground driving. Safety-sensitive role requiring drug-free status. Preferred: AA/AS degree or equivalent skills in communication, analysis, and reasoning. Experience with GPS systems and manual data collection. Credentials for operating vehicles at OEM/Supplier proving grounds. Enrollment in DMV Pull Notice Program. Experience with professional/amateur race teams. CDL holder. Bilingual proficiency in Chinese and English.
