Job Title: Protection and Control EngineerJob Description
This position is for an Instrumentation and Control Engineer within the Protection & Controls Applications group. The engineer will provide short-circuit analysis and breaker-duty study results, specify protection schemes and relays, and communicate study results to interconnection customers and internal partners.
Responsibilities
+ Provide short-circuit analysis, breaker-duty study results, and protection requirements to interconnect a customer-owned facility to the transmission system.
+ Create and update short-circuit models using customer-provided facility data with Computer-Aided Protection Engineering (CAPE) software.
+ Specify protection schemes and relays at company-owned facilities and the point of interconnection, reviewing schemes based on transmission stability requirements.
+ Effectively communicate study results and protection requirements to interconnection customers and internal partners.
+ Actively engage in meetings with other organizations to provide technical expertise to customers and peer partners.

+ Understanding or involvement with relay settings, studies, or interconnection reads.
+ Coursework in Power Studies or related subjects to Utilities/Transmission is considered a plus.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $42.00/hr.
