Prosthetic Fitter Trainee (PT- 0.75 FTE, Day Shift)

Position Summary:
The Prosthetic Fitter Trainee will begin 120 hours of direct training under a certified fitter while beginning studies for the ABC certification exam; study materials and training will be provided. The Trainee will also learn to gather appropriate documentation including but not limited to office notes, prescriptions, as well to perform data entry and sales order confirmation. Once certified, the Trainee’s performance will be evaluated for progression into the Prosthetic Fitter position.
Minimum Qualifications:
Required
+ High School Diploma or Equivalent
Preferred
+ Two (2) years of customer service experience
+ Healthcare and/or non-profit sector experience
+ Experience working with the public in a retail setting
Essential Job Functions:
In addition to the essential functions of the job listed below, employees must have on-time completion of all required education as assigned per DNV requirements, Bozeman Health policy, and other registry requirements.
+ Fits patients for mastectomy prosthetics.
+ Documents Patient records and billing, DME meetings, audits, compliance.
+ Orders & receives product.
+ Performs patient call backs & housekeeping as necessary in Care Boutique.

Schedule Requirements
+ This role requires regular and sustained attendance.
+ The position may necessitate working beyond a standard 40-hour workweek, including weekends and after-hours shifts.
+ On-call work may be required to respond promptly to organizational, patient, or employee needs.

Various chemicals and medications are used in healthcare settings. Job tasks may involve handling cleaning products, disinfectants, and other substances. Infectious diseases due to contact with patients in areas that may have contagious illnesses.
