Prosthetic Fitter (PT- 0.75 FTE, Day Shift)
Position Summary: The Prosthetic Fitter fits Mastectomy Prosthetics and apparel on an appointment bases. Places orders for prosthetics, bras and other accessories for inventory and special orders. Receives, prices, and documents said orders in computer. Makes calls to doctor offices to get prescriptions for patients. Fills out and files paper work needed for billing. Works closely with DME billing experts to assure compliance with CMS billing requirements to allow for successful billing and reimbursement of all products. Participates in quarterly quality DME improvement meetings to audit denial rates and assess customer service ratings. Works with DME Manager and Supervisor to maintain ACHC accreditation. Minimum Qualifications: Required + High School Diploma or Equivalent + Certificate of completion of Mastectomy Prosthetic Fitter training that is recognized with the BOC & ABC for no less than 7 credit hours + Two years of customer service experience Preferred + 6 months of Mastectomy Prosthetics fitting in a retail or hospital setting + Healthcare and/or non-profit sector experience + Experience working with the public in a formal & informal setting Essential Job Functions: In addition to the essential functions of the job listed below, employees must have on-time completion of all required education as assigned per DNV requirements, Bozeman Health policy, and other registry requirements. + Fits patients for mastectomy prosthetics. + Documents Patient records and billing, DME meetings, audits, compliance. + Orders & receives product. + Performs patient call backs & housekeeping as necessary in Care Boutique.
