Working independently the manager the global DDQ team activity and act as the first point of contact for the regional Relationship teams. They will ensure the appropriate assignment of all proposal activity, ensure the correct writer is assigned and the appropriate level of review offered. They will drive and implement any strategic initiatives as laid out by the global proposal team head, working across the team and the global group. They shall act as the first point of escalation for any matters arising from proposals in the team and shall ensure they are managed to resolution. They shall from time to time, work directly on significant proposals, and will also offer support to global proposal projects.
They mentor, coach and develop junior members of the group as well as offering steer and guidance to our offshore teams.
They will be given certain project assignments to drive forward as defined by their managers for the benefit of the wider team – with an expectation of leading from start to finish with minimal supervision.
Finally they will ensure that their teams work closely with our database group to create, maintain, improve and enhance our content, often receiving a number of categories of content to work with product to ensure they are developed, enhanced and maintained as truly value add content.
The key responsibilities of the role include:
Workload Management
Ensure all proposal work is logged and allocated in a timely manner.Ensure fair allocation of tasks across writers.Utilise support of global team as and when necessary.Oversee coaching and development of teamMonitor and develop procedures in line with best practice and technology developmentsDrive and manage various project initiativesImplement strategic plan for global teamResponse Preparation
Overseeing the preparation of proposals from start to finish, despatch of final response documents, ensuring milestones and deadlines are met, and best practice standards are metReviewing the work of other group membersOverseeing multiple assignments of varying complexity simultaneouslyLooking for opportunities to improve existing processes and contentAbility to run major proposal projects individually with no supervisionUsing the database and other resources to research and prepare responsesTailoring standard responses for individual clientsWorking with subject-matter-experts and relationship teams to source information
Proposal database
Ensuring new and updated information is added to the database in conjunction with the database teamLiaising with other business areas to maintain the factual content of the databaseResearching opportunities to create new database files for new products and servicesIdentify opportunities to enhance existing content by improving written quality and using visualisation techniquesWorking with product teams to generate value add proposal messaging
Skills/Qualifications
The successful candidate would benefit from having:
Ability to work individually and collaboratively with others on projects, taking ownership of tasks to see them to completion and seeking guidance when necessary.Exceptionally organized, strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task.Easily adaptable with ability to manage competing and changing priorities. Must be willing to take initiative to overcome obstacles and take on new tasks/responsibilities.Excellent communicator with solid writing and editing skills for development and presentation of marketing and communications materials.Ability to work effectively and professionally with internal clients, vendors, management and staff.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; technically savvy.Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Sharepoint and Excel)Experience and understanding of proposal management is beneficial, as is an understanding of financial services
EXPERIENCE
An Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree, 7 years plus of related industry experience is beneficial.Working with Us:
