About the Role:
A global leader in electrical thermal and sensing technologies is seeking a Technical Proposal Engineer to support its growing industrial solutions business. The selected candidate will be responsible for the preparation of technical and commercial proposals, ensuring a seamless bidding process and contributing to business growth. Key duties include:
Analysis & Strategy:
Review and assess incoming Requests for Quotation (RFQs), both technically and commercially.
Develop a bid strategy in collaboration with the sales team.
Analyze competitive solutions and anticipate market positioning.
Technical Solutions & Cost Estimation:
Design and propose tailored technical solutions that meet client requirements while optimizing the company’s chances of securing contracts.
Coordinate with the procurement department to request and evaluate third-party product quotations.
Compare alternative solutions to enhance proposal competitiveness.
Sales & Customer Support:
Assist the sales team in preparing Bidder Comparison Matrices (BCM).
Participate in client meetings and bid clarification discussions when necessary.
Provide ongoing technical support and follow-up for proposals.
Proposal Preparation & Handover:
Compile comprehensive proposal documentation in line with internal “Prepare to Win” strategies.
Ensure structured documentation throughout the bidding process for smooth project handovers.
Actively participate in handover meetings with the project execution team.
Candidate Profile:A degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a relevant technical qualification.
Minimum of three years of experience in a proposal/tendering role or at least two years in an electrical site or estimating role (preferably in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Industrial sectors).
Familiarity with power distribution and/or heat tracing applications is a plus.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently under tight deadlines.
Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Excel and experience working with CRM systems.
Fluent in English (additional language skills are an advantage).
