Proposal Developer – Senior
Salary: $65000-$100000 / Year The Senior Proposal Developer creates winning proposals for healthcare staffing services in response to solicitations (RFPs, IFBs, RFQs, etc.) from various commercial, and government agencies, in support of our nationwide sales force; demonstrates mastery of proposal management skills and leads complex proposal projects. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: + Assumes leadership role for each bid project + Uses project management tools and skills to manage the proposal process, and builds the proposal document + Conducts bid analyses + Writes, edits, formats, and produces low- to high-complexity proposal documents within given deadline/timeframe + Interviews Subject Matter Experts and composes content from notes + Inspires Business Development Managers and other contributors to develop and focus on presenting differentiating material like win theme, special services, etc. + Conducts kickoffs, draft reviews, status meetings, color team reviews, and work sessions + Writes executive summaries and custom plans, e.g., implementation, staffing, management, risk management plans + Motivates and assists sales teams to construct client-based management plans + Facilitates and generates post-submission activities such as discussion items, clarifications, BAFOs, oral presentation support, etc. + Works collaboratively with account teams and corporate leadership + Supports the proposal document, business development managers, and senior management in creating and maintaining a process for the evaluation and submission of proposals by reviewing the proposal guidelines + Maintains tracking and information database(s) + Participates in department meetings, initiatives, and/or projects + Represents Maxim as a team member or proposal leader for projects that include outside- company teaming partners + Develops and maintains boilerplate and templates + Leads special projects + Performs other duties as assigned/necessary Minimum Requirements: + Bachelor’s Degree in English, Technical Writing, Communications, Journalism, or equivalent related experience + Five to ten years’ experience writing and managing the proposal development process + Demonstrated ability to write technical or creative prose + Proficiency in creating professionally-formatted proposals in MS Word, and using internet tools to support content development + Computer proficiency, including practical use of MS Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe Writer, and Content Management Software + Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills required; proficiency in the English language may be required + APMP Certification (Preferred)
