SRC, Inc. is currently seeking a temporary, part-time proposal coordinator. As a proposal coordinator, you will be working in a fast-paced, team environment. You will be tasked with providing support, guidance, and expertise in preparation of complex proposals and related customer submissions for the US Department of Defense, various US federal agencies, private companies, foreign military sales, and direct commercial sales. Daily you will be responsible for effectively coordinating and overseeing proposal team activities using corporate processes/tools within budget and time constraints; editing/writing; formatting of proposal documents; and developing corporate proposal library content. What You’ll Do Support corporate proposals and business development initiatives in response to data calls, requests for information, requests for proposals (RFP), white papers, and market surveysProvide guidance on compliant outline and content development and publishing/delivery requirements; perform editing, content and image development, and coordination tasks to provide high-quality, compliant proposals on-time and within budgetWork with proposal manager, initiate and execute key proposal meetings and reviews including kick-offs, stand-up meetings, pink, red, white team, and lessons learned reviewsCommunicate with internal customers in a professional and timely mannerProvide input and guidance regarding proposal/document requirements, schedule and support; routinely and proactively communicates project status/issues to supervisor Routinely educate/train customers on the use and application of these processes and tools while supporting proposal effortsFollow corporate style and branding guidelines for all document support to perform editing, improve readability and enhance submission contentRoutinely develop and execute presentations to proposal teams, develop corporate proposal library content including boilerplate, resumes, and past performance for use in proposals, data calls, RFI responses and other deliverables What You’ll BringBachelor's degree in English, marketing, journalism, communications, or technical communications and 0 years of experience OR associate's degree and 2 years of relevant experience in writing/communications and project management OR any equivalent combination of education, training and experience can be used in lieu of noted degree and experienceStrong communications skills (verbal, written, and listening) to collaborate with peers, teams, proposal managers, program managers, and technical SMEs to effectively execute tasksProficient in MS Office® (Word®, Excel®, PowerPoint®, Project®, Visio®) including being proficient in editing and formatting of Word documents and working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat DCAbility to translate written content into tables and images using MS applicationsExcellent customer service skills with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyAbility to independently draft and synthesize large amounts of RFP-related information and requirements to create compliance matrices, project plans and team schedulesSelf-motivated, creative and focused on quality execution - managing projects and resources from beginning to end; overcoming obstacles as needed to meet or exceed all deadlines; checking in with proposal manager, supervisor and stakeholders to give progress updatesHigh degree of professionalism and confidentiality, handling various situations between stakeholders appropriately; utilizing Crucial Conversations for issues that arise; ability to manage as neededWays to Stand Out – Preferred RequirementsExperience with Shipley proposal processesUnderstanding of the federal government procurement process and policies
