Job Description

Williams Lea is hiring for a Hybrid Proposal/Business Development Specialist for our Columbus office to work Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:30 pm! 

Pay: $23 - $24.00/hour

Essential Functions:     

Creates and compiles materials for client-facing deliverables (pitches, capabilities statements, proposals and presentations, and other marketing collateral):Participates in discussions to outline content direction and arrive at messaging and win themesResearches client information, precedent material and other marketing assets to integrate into deliverablesCommunicates with business development colleagues, lawyers and others to request content, solicit reviewsDrafts, edits, proofreads and compiles materials, sometimes as lead writer/project coordinatorCreates grant proposal project plans to identify required components and manage deadlinesAssists with tasks related to the proposal generation tool as well as other information repositoriesAssists pitch and proposal reporting across the BD&M Department and drives best practicesPerforms other duties as assigned or required to meet Firm goals and objectives

Qualifications

Qualifications

 

Education/Training/Certifications: (required or preferred)

Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Marketing, English or a communication field

Professional Experience: (required or preferred)

At least 4 years of work experience in marketing, writing and project/production management in the professional services arena (e.g., law, accounting, or consulting) or in a comparable position in the corporate, trade association or academic sectors Law firm and pitch/proposal experience highly preferred 

Technical Skills: (required or preferred)

Strong writing and editing skills; attention to detailStrong project management capabilities; ability to work effectively under tight deadlinesStrong MS Office experience (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is requiredExperience with proposal generation system and/or desktop publishing a plus

Performance Traits: (i.e. analytical, communication skills, problem-solving abilities, etc.)

Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneouslyDemonstrates good judgment and problem-solving capabilitiesAbility to work in an environment with shifting priorities and deadlines and ability to work well under pressureAbility to work well in a team as well as independentlyStrong customer service skills, able to anticipate needs and exercise independent judgment and problem-solving skillsStrong attention to detail
