Proposal/Bid Manager (Nashville, TN)
The Proposal/Bid Manager will work collaboratively with the Sales team to develop strategies and key messaging, oversee RFP responses involving various cross-functional stakeholders, and ensure content complies with client instructions and regulations. This role emphasizes continuous improvement through Lean methodologies and shares proposal best practices to enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality across functions.
Your role:
Autonomously manage the proposal lifecycle, assembling and leading a team of SMEs to develop winning strategies and proposal themes from project kick-off to submission.
Develop the proposal structure and content, utilizing existing resources and creating custom content to align with the agreed-upon strategy.
Lead a disciplined, collaborative process, ensuring progress against timelines and quality metrics while maintaining documents and addressing project risks proactively.
Coordinate document production and delivery, conduct compliance and competitive reviews, and enhance business development capabilities through relationship building and process improvement.
You're the right fit if:
Minimum 2 years of experience in areas such as Bid Management, Project Management or equivalent
Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, English, Marketing or equivalent.
Demonstrate exceptional communication, influencing, and problem-solving skills to manage response teams and deliver high-quality proposals, ensuring strategic alignment, document quality, and regulatory compliance; possess emotional intelligence to maintain calm during high-stakes projects and excel both independently and collaboratively.
You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.
Utilize advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat, with preferred experience in Responsive.io or proposal automation; healthcare industry knowledge, graphic design, continuous improvement expertise, and PMP, CAPM, or APMP certification are advantageous.

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

Philips Transparency Details
The pay range for this position in TN is $85,500 to $136,800.
The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered.
