Planate Management Group (PMG) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, and Orlando, Florida USA with technical support centers in South East Asia and East Africa, that provide program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. Planate is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other US federal agencies, all over the world.
The Property Manager is responsible for overseeing the control, tracking, and movement of government and company-owned assets. This includes ensuring compliance with DoD property regulations, coordinating logistics, and maintaining accurate property records. The role supports audits, inventory, and transfer processes while working closely with cross-functional teams.
This is a nationwide project, and we need someone who is willing to travel and take on assignments at various project sites across the country.
This position is contingent upon the award of the contract
Key Responsibilities:
+ Maintain and update the Master Government Property List to ensure accurate asset records
+ Supervise the receipt, inspection, tagging, labeling, and secure storage of equipment
+ Manage property transfers, including documentation and coordination of related activities
+ Oversee logistics for site deliveries, staff travel, and equipment movements
+ Prepare and submit reports for any lost, damaged, or stolen property
+ Collaborate with the Global Support Team’s Property Administrator to align asset management practices
+ Conduct routine physical inventories and resolve any identified discrepancies
+ Prepare records and documentation to support internal, external, and government audits
+ Develop and implement SOPs for effective asset handling, tracking, and control
+ Monitor property-related contract requirements to ensure full compliance
+ Work closely with procurement, warehousing, and finance teams for end-to-end asset lifecycle coordination
+ Keep all property and inventory records accurate and up to date using tracking systems and ERP platforms
+ Ensure all government and company assets are correctly tagged, labeled, and stored
+ Continuously assess and improve processes to strengthen property accountability and visibility
Qualifications to be successful in the role:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Engineering, Business, or a related field
+ Minimum of 5 years' experience in property and logistics management
+ Solid understanding of DoD property accountability standards and PIEE platforms
+ Hands-on experience with inventory control, shipping coordination, and asset transfers
+ Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and record-keeping skills
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office and asset/property management systems
+ Ability to support audit processes and ensure regulatory compliance
+ Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills
+ Capable of managing multiple priorities and working independently in fast-paced settings
