Property Manager

Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Property Manager to oversee day-to-day operations at one or more affordable housing communities. The ideal candidate will bring exceptional management skills, a deep understanding of affordable housing regulations (e.g., LIHTC, HUD, Section 8), and a people-first approach to fostering vibrant and thriving communities. Key Responsibilities + Property Operations: Manage the operations of affordable housing properties, including leasing, tenant relations, rent collections, and property maintenance, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements. + Compliance Management: Maintain strict adherence to affordable housing compliance guidelines, such as Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) programs, HUD regulations, and other federal, state, and local requirements. + Financial Oversight: Prepare and manage monthly budgets, monitor expenses, and ensure financial performance meets expectations. Optimize NOI (Net Operating Income) while maintaining quality service delivery. + Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor on-site staff, creating a collaborative and productive team environment. Provide training and support to ensure best practices are followed in property management and compliance. + Tenant Relations: Act as the primary point of contact for residents, addressing questions, concerns, and maintenance requests with a focus on delivering excellent customer service and creating a positive living experience. + Vendor Management: Oversee relationships with external vendors and contractors, ensuring work is completed efficiently, within budget, and to the required standards. + Reporting: Track and report key metrics relevant to leasing, compliance, property performance, and resident satisfaction. Provide regular updates to property owners and stakeholders. Requirements ualifications + 2+ years of proven experience in property management, with a focus on affordable housing. + Comprehensive knowledge of affordable housing programs like LIHTC, Section 8, and HUD guidelines. + Strong leadership, communication, and organization skills. + Proven ability to manage budgets and financial reporting. + Excellent interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to build relationships with residents, staff, and stakeholders. + Proficiency in property management software (e.g., Yardi, RealPage, or similar). + Relevant certifications such as Certified Apartment Manager (CAM), Housing Credit Certified Professional (HCCP), or Certified Property Manager (CPM) are a plus.
