Property Management Accountant
Summary: The Property Management Accountant is responsible for accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with regulatory reporting, compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing timely and relevant financial information to support property operations and ownership objectives. Essential Job Functions: + Prepare monthly journal entries. + Prepare monthly profit and loss statement variance analysis. + Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes. + Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner. + Review and post rent roll entries to maintain accurate rent revenue tracking. + Coordinate with property management teams to resolve financial discrepancies or tenant ledger issues. + Manage positive pay uploads to the bank and review exceptions. + Maintain accurate cash balances and record daily activity. + Manage fixed assets and depreciation schedules. + Assist with preparing annual budgets and periodic forecasts. + Assist with internal and external audits as required. + Complete 1099s timely and accurately. + Maintain schedule of rents and other schedules. + Process invoices as requested. + Ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies and procedures and internal controls. + Ability to comprehend and execute Regulatory and Operating Agreement requirements as related Finance. + Perform any other related duties as required by supervisor.
