We are currently recruiting a Property Field Adjuster to join our team in Nanaimo, British Columbia, Canada. This field position requires the candidate to be located in Nanaimo. The successful applicant will be actively involved in evaluating loss claims, with a focus on property and casualty claims through comprehensive loss investigations. Additionally, they will be responsible for negotiating settlements following provincial licensing requirements, while maintaining adequate production levels and strong customer relationships.

Minimum 2 years functional/technical experience in an insurance environment, knowledge of property and casualty claims.Ideal candidate will have a construction and property background, specializing in project management, quantification, and appraisalCommercial policy interpretation and experience, making recommendations to the marketHas an active adjuster license or is working towards a CIP and/or FCIP designationKnowledge in using Xactimate and experience in XactanalysisStrong report writing skills Must be a team player with outstanding customer service skills Willingness to work in a dynamic environment with opportunity for career growthReviews and analyzes experts’ reportsSelects and directs independent expertsIdentifies and pursues subrogation opportunitiesSecures and manages litigation disposition plans and budgetsDetailed recording of file activities and transactions in both Crawford and Company and client-based systemsMaintains accurate expense accountsWork with manager to maintain client relationAbility to liaise and work with all facets of the insurance community including brokers, risk managers, legal counsel and regulators
