We are currently recruiting a Property Claims Adjuster to join our team in the Huntsville/Gravenhurst/Muskoka regions in Ontario, Canada. The successful candidate will investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and settle commercial lines claims by telephone and correspondence. The candidate will also participate in ensuring accurate recording, reporting, and presentation of files.

2 years of technical experience in an insurance claims environment, with strong knowledge of property claims is required.Knowledge of commercial lines will be considered an asset.Post-secondary education in an insurance related field working towards full license and CIP designationProficient in CMS, including maintaining accurate and detailed activity, transaction and reserve recordsAdvanced computer skills including Office 365Excellent communication skillsMust be a team player with a strong commitment to quality and customer serviceInterviewing claimants and witnessesObtaining official documentsComparing claims information with evidenceDetermination of liabilityMakes offer to claimantsIssue chequeDispose of salvagePursue subrogationAccurate recording, reporting and presentation of files, including presentation of evidence at legal proceedingsMaintenance of accurate billing, and time and expense recordsWork with manager to maintain client relations
