We are currently recruiting for a Property and Casualty Claims Adjuster to join our team in southwestern Ontario. This is a hybrid role that combines work-from-home and fieldwork. Candidates must reside in the Windsor region to handle field claims in person. The successful candidate will investigate, evaluate, negotiate and settle property and casualty claims. The candidate will participate in ensuring accurate recording, reporting, and presentation of files.

2 years of technical experience in an insurance claims environment, with strong knowledge of property claims is required. Knowledge of commercial lines will be considered an asset.Post-secondary education in an insurance related field working towards full license and CIP designation is an assetProficient in a claims management system, maintaining accurate and detailed activity, transaction and reserve recordsExcellent verbal and written communication skills including report writingMust be a team player with a strong commitment to quality and customer serviceInterviewing claimants and witnessesObtaining official documentsComparing claims information with evidenceDetermination of liabilityMakes offer to claimantsIssue chequeDispose of salvagePursue subrogationAccurate recording, reporting and presentation of files, including presentation of evidence at legal proceedingsMaintenance of accurate billing, and time and expense recordsWork with manager to maintain client relations
