Our facility at New Orleans, LA has an immediate opportunity for an early to mid\-career level Asset/Property Analyst who wants to join our mission\. The Property/Asset Management Team supports multiple NASA programs and accounts for thousands of government/company owned property assets\. We are fast paced and offer the opportunity to become directly involved in supporting Space mission success while working directly with our scientists, customers and programs\. In this role you will support the Orion programs in all aspects of property/asset management by providing oversight, management, and analysis of the property business system\. Additionally, you will further Orion's continued path of success and play a vital role supporting the best engineers with the best equipment, tools and materials\. What does a typical Property Analyst role involve? • You will provide property accountability support and services in the functional areas of establishing property records, database management, property movement updates, preparation of physical inventory and NASA property financial reporting in support of leadership • You will assist Property leadership in administering the terms of NASA contract provisions that specify the company's obligations to acquire, control, use, care for, report and dispose of property in its possession\. • You will assist in performing audits, documenting processes and procedures, and investigating and reporting lost or damaged property • You will use the property control system and reporting tools \(SAP/PBS\) to manage and communicate property information and to establish property records for company or government property • You will maintain accountability from initial acquisition to final disposition by coordinating, preparing and documenting applicable forms to indicate a change of ownership, accountability or location of property in accordance with applicable government regulations, customer contracts or corporate policy • You will assist in verifying that property records accurately reflect inventory on hand and that equipment servicing requirements are established by responsible organizations • You will investigate and report any incidents of loss, damage or destruction of customer property, perform self\-governance audits and support any customer property control system audit, coordination of movements of excess property for disposal, preparation of plant clearance schedules, property transfers and scrap documentation\. **Basic Qualifications:** • Prior asset/property management or similar experience with good understanding of property/asset management processes and systems • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer applications • Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills • Must be a United States citizen **Desired Skills:** • Knowledge in NASA Contract Property Administration • Knowledge of Property Management FAR, NASA FAR Supplement procurement practices, policies and procedures • Familiarity with Government Property and logistics of accountability • Past experience with Government systems that account for and disposition NASA Government property and logistics of contracts as it relates to Property Management • Strong knowledge of FAR and NASA FAR Supplement, NASA Procedural Regulations • A diverse background in multiple Property Management environments \(DOD, NASA, International and Commercial\) • Experience with government contracting including modifications, to losing contracts and gaining contracts of government property • Demonstrated knowledge of surveys, audits, and contract closeout as it relates to disposition of government property • Knowledge of logistics and supply chain management • NPMA membership and certification is a plus • Strong business acumen and effective customer relations skills • Ability to work effectively with upper management, peers, and customers in cross functional/collaborative team environments • Demonstrated ability to work with little or no supervision • Demonstrated experience in handling multiple and conflicting tasks • Ability to work in a high energy environment and to take direction from multiple customers **Clearance Level:** None **Other Important Information You Should Know** **Expression of Interest:** By applying to this job, you are expressing interest in this position and could be considered for other career opportunities where similar skills and requirements have been identified as a match\. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed\.
