Proof Booth Assembler II

Role Title – Proof Booth Operator Assembler II 

Job Summary: 

Perform High pressure testing for all approved units to verify joint integrity.  In addition, complete leak testing on all brazed joints.  

Responsibilities: 

Read 3-dimesional and 2-dimensional blueprints and schematics to determine dimensions, design and materials needed for performing duties. 

Connect units of different designs to our test equipment and operate the computer interface to perform all functional testing. 

Operate the ultrasonic lead detector to pre-check units prior to high pressure testing 

Document all findings electronically for data tracking and complete physical labeling of the unit to confirm status of the test process 

Coordinate necessary support from the brazing team to repair any findings during the test process.  

Basic troubleshooting and repair of units that can be addressed in station 

Use basic hand tools and torque tools to complete assigned tasks and repairs  

Work closely with engineering and leadership to sort and present the data generated at your process to track individual performance and drive improvement activities 

Assist with other departments as needed 

 

Qualifications: 

Competency in reading blueprints and diagrams to interpret braze specifications and properly space brazes and routes. 

Able to use simple hand tools 

Prior brazing experience-Preferred (brazing certification will be required as part of training) 

Understanding of refrigerant design and flow direction is preferred 

Ability to work in a team setting and demonstrate a positive work attitude 

Actively practices and promotes safety. 

Basic computer skills are required
