Objectives of the Position         

Provide strategic support to the Global Trade Compliance Service Delivery Unit (SDU) head and SDU leadership team in the areas of PMO, global alignment and coordination, communications and reporting

Main Areas of Responsibilities and Key Activities

In this role, you will report to the Global head of Trade Compliance and have comprehensive exposure to all aspects of BASF Trade Compliance in Europe, Americas and Asia Pacific.

 

Project Management Office (PMO)

Coordinate and/or manage cross-regional projects and initiatives Evaluate and prioritize activities to ensure harmonization of global, regional and local projects across sites and regions Create & maintain project tracking framework, prepare and present project status updates to relevant stakeholders and steering committeeDrive and assist project leaders to meet milestones and closure

Global unit coordination

Liaise with global, regional and local teams to ensure alignmentMaintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.Own and maintain collaborative platforms and tools to enable efficient information sharing & productive collaboration  Coordinate KPI development, measurement & reportingEnsure effective internal and external communication strategies.Prepare reports, presentations, and communications at global levelLead special projects and initiatives as the need arisesIdentify and implement opportunities for digitalization, automation and/or streamlining processes and workflows. Validate and defend business cases where local customization is a necessary key differentiator.Assist in budget planning and financial management.

 

Job Requirements:

Education

Bachelor’s degree from accredited university. Business, Information Systems, Supply Chain Management, Engineering background preferred

Working Experience

At least 3 years’ experience in relevant field, eg supply chain, project management, business operations

 

Technical & Professional Knowledge
