The OpportunityAs a Project Team Leader (PTL) in Neuroscience and Rare Diseases (NRD) in pRED, you will act as the CEO for one or more early asset development teams, assuming full accountability for the delivery of the asset development (strategy and budget), maximizing its value within the portfolio strategic context. You will provide high-quality strategic leadership to early global cross-functional asset teams, including:
Ensure high standards of performance of the asset team and its individual members
Lead the team to develop and implement an innovative asset strategy with appropriate data driven stage-gates, de-risking approaches and mitigation strategies
Lead co-development projects, balancing the needs of Roche and partners in collaborations
Communicate critical data and project team recommendations and decisions to key governance committees and drive stage-gate milestones and budget requests
Serve as the interface between NRD in pRED and partner functions on project-related issues
Actively engage with other PTLs and the neuroscience leadership team (NLT) to drive portfolio strategy and trade-off decisions
Who you areYou have a solid track record of leading matrix research or development project teams in a complex and fast-paced organization. You have strong communication skills, a deep knowledge of strategic drug development and experience in clinical development. You have strong influence management skills, are capable of proactively engaging with stakeholders in a large organization, and are able to positively impact decisions in a matrix environment.
You hold a PhD, MD, PharmD, or equivalent experience.
You have at least 6-8 years in the pharmaceutical industry with broad cross-functional experience.
You have at least 3-5 years of experience in clinical development, preferably at early stages.
You have demonstrated successful movement within an organization towards positions of greater impact and responsibility.
A background in neuroscience is preferred.
