KBR’s Technology Led Industrial Solutions (TLIS) group is looking for a Project Specialist for long term role at our Dubai office, with Techno-Commercial experience. Project Specialist Division /Technology Led Industrial Solutions (TLIS) Job Purpose To support the successful planning, execution, and delivery of Maintenance projects by coordinating technical activities, managing contractor/ Suppliers and consultant interfaces, and ensuring compliance with project requirements, local regulations, and client standards. Prior experience within UAE is essential. Key Responsibilities + Assist in Preliminary estimation, planning, scheduling, and coordinating all technical aspects of projects. + Review RFP Documents, specifications, and technical documents to prepare techno-commercial response for the maintenance bids ensuring their accuracy and compliance with standards. + Set-up, take over / hand over of projects during initial mobilization ensuring their alignment with industry standard and Project bidding specifications. + Support the Project Managers in managing site activities, contractor performance, and coordination with internal as well as external stakeholders. + Monitor work progress and ensure alignment with project schedule and quality standards. + Participate in the preparation and review of Project execution and management plan, technical submittals, method statements, RFIs, and progress reports. + Assist in resolving management and site issues. + Maintain strong communication with Internal/External stakeholders, and third-party consultants. + Support in cost monitoring and control activities. + Participate in internal and client meetings, providing technical input where required. + Assist in preparation of handover documentation and project close-out reports. + Ensures project progress as per approved schedule in close cooperation with Project Controls Team + Set up and regularly maintaining a project dashboard in close cooperation with Project Controls Team + Monitors with support of the Project Controls Team cost aspects of the project within direct control to forecast final costs, trends and takes action to avoid cost overruns. + Evaluation of Earned Value / value of work for project completion with support of the Project Controls Team + Builds and maintains a healthy relationship with clients and acts as project focal point for the client + Proactively resolves scope and schedule issues with the 3rd party contractor as they arise. + Ensures Change Order recording and participation from project team in technical parts of change order assessment + Regularly provides input to project reports to internal Project Management and the Clients + Defines and communicates team’s priorities such as achievement of milestones and other key project objectives. + Listens to the team, discusses the issues, resolves problems and directs activities to remove roadblocks and achieve objectives. + Regularly chairs and records project team meetings within the PMC organization and with the client and with the 3rd party contractors or consultants. + Responsibility for preparation and status tracking of all projects related correspondence and transmittals / project documents. + Perform technical bid evaluations (TBE) and award recommendations Qualifications including Required Education, Experience, & Skills + Bachelor of Engineering from an accredited college or university. + Minimum 12 years of Techno- Commercial Experience + Must have proven track record of managing and leading teams for large sized projects in the Oil & Gas industry or Equipment Manufacturer. + Must have demonstrated ability of effective functioning in a multi-cultural environment, preferably in the Middle East. Essential skills/experience + Analysis and problems solving + Creativity/innovation + Communications, written and oral. + Formal presentation skills + Ability to influence and persuade.
